Two men nearly drown in The Venetian Hotel Casino’s Canal

At approximately 7:45 a.m. on Monday the 24th of August, the Clark County Fire Department was contacted to attend to two men who nearly drowned in the Venetian Hotel-Casino’s Canal. The Venetian Hotel-Casino has a man made canal where visitors can take gondola rides that go inside and outside the casino. The two men were captured on surveillance cameras jumping over the fence surrounding the canal and trying to swim across. However, they were unable to swim and were found to be unresponsive, but breathing. They were transported to University Medical Center in Las Vegas and hospitalized in critical conditions.
