Tornado touches down in Mahnomen, Minnesota near the Shooting Star Casino

An EF-1 (86 to 110 miles per hour) tornado which touched down at approximately 2:00 AM in Mahnomen, Minnesota on Monday the 22nd of June came within 30 to 40 feet of the casino which was open. The tornado which had an estimated peak wind of 90-95 MPH, a path length of 400 yards, and a path width of 30 yards caused minor damage to some of the vehicles parked at the casino, however, there were no injuries. Earlier on, the same tornado had destroyed a shed near a maintenance building, flipped a semi truck onto a car, and destroyed a small building near the casino’s bingo palace.
