Thieves carrying shotguns and machetes rob a casino

Three masked assailants armed with shotguns and machetes stormed a casino in the resort village of Castera-Verduzan in southwest France on Saturday the 25th of July and demanded cash. At the time of the holdup, there were 15 gamblers and 6 employees present. After taking 12,000 euros (13,173 USD), the thieves escaped without firing a shot. Police in the nearby cities of Auch and Toulouse who are heading the investigation have yet to identify and arrest the suspects, who escaped from the casino in a getaway car. Diminutive Castera-Verduzan is a small resort casino located approximately 60 kilometers northwest of Toulouse in South West France and features 60 slot machines and 2 Blackjack tables.
