Sydney, Australia – A casino high roller who gambled $90 million at Australian casinos is fatally shot

Peter Hoang, 36, a casino high roller who gambled $90 million at three Australian casinos over a period of six years was fatally shot on Dunmore Street at Croydon Park in September 2014 after an evening out with business contacts. He was allegedly lured to his death by a text message received on his encrypted Blueberry before one or more suspects approached Hoang, shooting him multiple times in the head, throat and left arm area. The attacker(s) then jumped into a get-away vehicle that was parked on the street before driving off. Several years later, police still have no idea who shot Hoang, and have been left with very little to go on with since all the data on Hoang’s Blueberry was deleted, possibly remotely.
