Rivers Casino cocktail waitress is awarded over $1 million in a sexual harassment lawsuit

Allyson Pelesky-Laush (28) recently won a sexual harassment lawsuit and was awarded $150,000 in compensatory damages and $999,000 in punitive damages for what she suffered while working as a cocktail waitress at Rivers casino in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It all began with a series of incidents where a casino high roller would inappropriately touch her breasts while giving her a tip. However, the high roller argued that he did not slip the casino chip between her breasts, but that the chip hit her tip jar and then bounced into her bra. When she reported the casino patron to management, they encouraged her not to press charges against him, and banned him from the casino. The casino then cancelled the lifetime ban and allowed the high roller back into the casino without notifying Pelesky-Laush of their decision. As a result, Pelesky-Laush filed a lawsuit against the casino, and was awarded more than $1 million in damages.
