Raleigh, North Carolina – A truck driver wins $10 million playing the Ultimate Millions game

David Harris, 53, an Army veteran from Rocky Mount, North Carolina has won $10 million dollars by playing the Ultimate Millions scratch-off game. Harris was driving home on his way from work when he decided to stop at E.P. Mart at approximately 1.00 a.m on Friday the 29th of April for a cup of coffee and a $30 scratch off in the Ultimate Millions game.

“I felt lucky that morning so I bought me one. I was scratching it off and saw I didn’t have any matching numbers, but I saw the dollar icon, so I knew I won something. When I scratched it off and saw the 10 and then the million, I was smoking a cigarette and my mouth just flew wide open.” Harris said during a news conference.

He decided to take the $6 million lump sum payment, but will receive $4 million after tax.

The odds of winning the $10 million prize are 1 in 3.9 million.

Harris said that he wants to continue working, but wants to buy his own truck and hire someone to drive it for him, so that he can be the boss. Harris also said he wants to travel to Hawaii.

“I don’t feel different. I just have some money, so I can do what I want to now. It’s a blessing,” Harris said.
