PayPal may be coming back to online gambling in the US

After being absent from the online gambling industry since 2003, Paypal is now testing its ability to handle payments on four US online gambling sites, including WSOP.com and DerbyGames.com. Now that Paypal is an independent company, after splitting from eBay in July 2015, it is now looking for ways to increase its revenue, and thinks that payment processing for online gambling sites might be the next step forward. However, Paypal will only process payments from approved merchants in locations where gambling is legal. Given the fact that the annual casino gambling revenue in the United States is worth an approximate $70 billion, then it would make perfect sense for Paypal to start processing payments for US online gambling sites, especially if other US states legalize online gambling. So far, the only states that have legalized online gambling in the US are Nevada, New Jersey, and Delaware.
