New York: A casino bus on its way to Resorts World Casino crashes into a building

A casino bus on its way to the Resorts World Casino has crashed into the back of a 3-story brick apartment building at 6287 Woodhaven Boulevard, tearing off a large part of the structure. The accident occurred took place at approximately 2:24 p.m on Monday the 25th of August, when the bus driver swerved the bus to avoid hitting a car, losing control, and smashing into the back of a building. Five people on the bus and one person in the building suffered injuries. The bus was partially lodged into the building, and the driver was pinned to his seat. Fortunately, there were no fatalities. The bus is operated by Brooklyn based Trans Express, which is part of the public transport operator, National Express. “We are working with the local authorities as well as conducting our own investigation into the accident,” said company spokeswoman Molly Hart. “Those involved in today’s accident are in our thoughts and prayers.”
