New Hampshire says no to casino gambling

A bill to legalize two new casino venues in New Hampshire was voted down on Wednesday by roughly 50 votes. “Casino gambling will not be an asset to New Hampshire,” Democratic Rep. Patricia Lovejoy said. The bill would have legalized two new casinos to be built in New Hampshire, which would have meant $120 million in licensing fees alone, and not to mention more jobs for the local economies, etc, but the majority of New Hampshire lawmakers were not in favor of the bill. “All New Hampshire can expect are hometown convenience casinos that pull money out of the pockets of our residents, not destination resorts attracting out-of-state residents.” Democratic Rep. Patricia Lovejoy said.
