Muskegon, Michigan – A Muskegon man wins a $1 million Mega Millions prize

Paul Kuharevicz, 56, decided to rent a car and drive home to Muskegon after his flight out of O’Hare was cancelled.

“When I got home, I realized I had left my bike at work and went to pick it up. On my way there, I stopped at Ladd’s and bought a ticket,” said Kuharevicz.

Kuharevicz purchased a Mega Millions lottery ticket from Ladd’s and Company located at 4230 Henry Street in Muskegon.

On the following day, his son texted him to check his ticket because someone who purchased a ticket from Ladd’s and Company had won $1 million.

When Kuharevicz checked his ticket for the Mega Millions draw held on the 3rd of August, he realized that he had the matching five white numbers (09-17-25-63-71) and had won.

“I’ve always told my wife if I win the Lottery then she can retire. She been a teacher for 28 years, but next year will be her last year teaching,” Kuharevicz said. “Winning is an amazing feeling. God has given me so much.”
