Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania – Mount Airy Casino Resort is fined $25K for serving a gambler 27 drinks in 9 hours

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has fined the operator of Mount Airy Casino Resort for serving a slot machine player 27 drinks within 9 hours. The casino has not contested the charge and has agreed to pay the fine while choosing not to comment on the incident. It is against the law for casinos are not allowed to serve visibly intoxicated persons. Since the beginning of this year, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has approved $190K worth of fines against 5 Pennsylvania casinos for a number of violations which include serving alcohol to visibly intoxicated gamblers and underage gambling.
