Mount Pleasant, Michigan – Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort is evacuated following two bomb threats

Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort was evacuated on Thursday the 21st of April after the casino received two bomb threats between 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. The bomb threats were made by a female caller, and given some of the information that was relayed over the telephone, police deemed that the threats were credible and evacuated the casino and resort as a precaution. Approximately 2,500 guests and staff were evacuated from the premises while the bomb squad searched the buildings. No explosives were found, and police gave the casino and resort the all clear. The casino was re-opened at approximately 6.00am on Friday morning. No arrests have been made, and police are seeking a person of interest.
