Maryland casinos drop in revenue during January 2015

According to the figures released by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency on Thursday the 5th of February 2015, the revenue generated by the Maryland casinos during January 2015 was $84.9 million. This is a drop from $90.2 million generated in November 2015. In an attempt to increase their revenue, the Horseshoe casino and Maryland Live! casino have requested permission from the state to get rid of 300 slot machines each, and to replace them with more table games. The state recently approved these requests. Therefore, in April 2015, both the Horseshoe casino and the Maryland Live! casino will eliminate 300 slot machines each, and the Horseshoe casino will add 30 more table games, while the Maryland Live! casino will add 13 more table games.
