Liverpool, New York – A lucky man wins $10 million in scratch-off game

After purchasing a $30 ticket for the special 50th anniversary instant game at a Stewart’s Shops on 7667 Morgan Road, Liverpool, David Kowalski headed out into the parking lot and scratched it. Hardly believing his luck, Kowalski was in a state of disbelief as he looked very carefully at what he had scratched.

“I scratched 50X and I knew right away in my head that it was going to be something decent,” Kowalski said. “When I scratched off the $200,000 below it I was in disbelief. I looked at it several times and tried to do the math in my head and realized that this was it. This was the big one.”

“It’s overwhelming, exciting, it’s indescribable. I bought it, went out in the parking lot, scratched it off and since then it’s just been crazy,” said Kowalski.

Kowalski has opted to receive the lump sum payment of $6,618,000

A couple from Poughkeepsie, New York won $10 million in March 2017 playing this special 50th anniversary instant game.

According to the New York Lottery, there are still 2 unclaimed grand prize tickets, and 6 unclaimed second prize tickets worth $200K each.
