Las Vegas, Nevada – A bill to lower the legal age of gambling to 18

In Las Vegas, Nevada, it is legal to marry, bear children, buy and smoke cigarettes and go off to war, but one must be at least 21 years old to gamble. Assembly Bill 86, sponsored by Assemblyman Jim Wheeler, R-Minden, would lower the legal age to gamble from 21 to 18 if it passes and is written into law. Although it is unlikely to pass, since previous attempts to lower the minimum gambling age failed, Assembly Bill 86 has been assigned to the Judiciary Committee and will be given a hearing.
