Immokalee, Florida – A man threatens to shoot up Seminole Casino in Immokalee

Leland Thomas was arrested by Seminole Police on Monday the 27th of August after threatening to shoot up Seminole Casino. Thomas has also been charged with trespassing, since he has already been permanently banned from the casino. In addition to threatening to shoot up the casino, Thomas also told a police officer that he’s going to put a bomb under their police patrol car and unload on the casino with a machine gun as soon as he is released from jail. Thomas, who was has been arrested on 26 previous occasions, is currently being held in custody on a $13,000 bond.

“With regard to this case, or any case involving a threat against people or property on the Immokalee Seminole Reservation, Seminole Police take any threat seriously. They will arrest anyone who makes such a threat and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.” said Gary Bitner, a spokesperson for both Seminole Casino and Seminole Police Department.
