Horseshoe Cleveland Casino to recycle food waste

The Horseshoe Cleveland Casino, which is located at 100 Public Square, Cleveland, Ohio 44113 is planning on recycling its food waste and turning it into energy. The casino already recycles its rubbish, linens and uniforms, but starting on Wednesday, the casino will be adding food waste to the list. Every ton of recycled food waste produces enough Methane gas to heat up a Cleveland home for two weeks. Last year, the casino recycled 679 tons or 90% of it’s overall rubbish, but by adding food waste to the list, the casino will be recycling approximately 90% of its total rubbish, while saving $7,000 in waste removal costs every month.
