Hollywood Casino is fined for not playing with a full deck of cards

Hollywood casino, which is located at Penn National Race Course, 777 Hollywood Boulevard, Grantville, Pennsylvania 17028 was recently fined $13,000 for allowing gambling to take place at two separate occasions while a playing card was missing. On the 2nd of April, a 7 of Hearts card was damaged by an automatic shuffler at a Spanish 21 table and was removed from the game while the dealer waited for a replacement card. However, play continued for 58 minutes before the missing card was eventually replaced. A total of 42 hands were played while the card was missing. On the 12th of April, a croupier accidentally dropped several cards while shuffling a deck of cards at a Blackjack table. While most of the cards were recovered, a Jack of Spades card went unnoticed while play continued for almost 21 minutes, with a total of 32 hands being played, until the missing card was discovered by another dealer. Both incidents were self-reported by the casino to state gaming officials. As a result, the casino was fined $13,000 by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, Bureau of Casino Compliance for compromising the integrity of the above mentioned table games.
