Fullerton, California – Police seize illegal gambling machines from two video game businesses

Following a number of complaints from members of the public about an increase in crime (pertaining to burglaries, thefts, prostitution, drug related crimes and gang activity) in the area since two video game arcades opened, the Fullerton Police Department conducted a lengthy investigation into the operations of the two arcade game businesses. On Wednesday the 2nd of August, Fullerton police executed search warrants at two business addresses in Fullerton, and seized eleven illegal gambling machines. One man was arrested on suspicion of possession of illegal gaming devices, however, police did not reveal the man’s identity. Business owners in the area were quite relieved to see police shut down the illegal shops that had contributed to the increase in crime. The investigation is ongoing.
