Emmet County, Michigan – Odawa Casino opens in Mackinaw City

Odawa Casino opened its doors on Wednesday the 25th of May to the delight of hundreds of people who attended the casino opening. Although the local village council had voted down the casino plan in October, the tribe went ahead with the casino construction which took four months. The 5,000 square foot casino is located at 1080 South Nicolet Street. The class 2 casino currently hosts 120 machines. Some of the games offered at the casino include; bingo, pull-tab games, lottery, and card games. The tribe is hoping to add a new RV park and to increase the number of games offered at the casino in the near future. Odawa casino is owned and managed by the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians.
