East St. Louis, Illinois – An inmate escapes when the guard transporting the prisoners stops at a casino

It happened in the early hours on Monday the 5th of March. A driver who was working for Guard Force International INC. made a stop at the Casino Queen in East St. Louis with two prisoners. The guard allowed the prisoners to take a shower in the hotel room, and fell asleep while the second prisoner was taking a shower. When the guard woke up approximately 30 minutes later, he discovered that one of the prisoners, Brian Jordan, had escaped, while taking with him $5,200 in cash that belonged to the driver. Although the driver noticed that Jordan was missing at 1:30am, he didn’t report the escape to police until 6:30am. As a result, the driver was fired from his job, and Jordan currently remains at large. Anyone with information is asked to contact the East St. Louis Police Department.
