Chinese police used drones to bust an illegal gambling operation

Police in the central Chinese province of Hubei used drones to locate the whereabouts of a gang that ran an illegal gambling operation in the cities of Wuhan and Xiantao. Police were initially unable to locate or track the gang’s movements because the gang was regularly moving from one city to the other. That is what prompted police to use drones to find the gang and spy on their operations. The idea proved to be successful as police finally located the gang, arrested 12 of its members, 49 suspected gamblers, and confiscated over 50,000 yuan ($7,836) and other gambling related machines and electronic payment processors.
