Casino Bonuses

Casino Bonuses

Pretty much every single online casino offers some sort of bonuses to new and existing players. The problem herein lies that due to there being so many different kinds and styles of bonuses, many players get confused and may not realize what is on offer to them.

Potentially one of the biggest confusions that many new players have is that they think that when they are given a bonus by a casino that means that the casino is giving them free money. Of course, they quickly come to realize that this is not quite true and there are a few caveats.

So in essence they are giving you free money but they provide you with many rules and hoops you will have to jump through before you are allowed to keep that money. These rules are often called the “play through requirements” or “wager requirements.

What these requirements usually are, are simply amounts of money you have to cumulatively bet on games within that casino before they will actually give you the money from the bonus. Make sure you aware of these before you sign up to a casino because of a good bonus.

Now let’s take a look at the different kinds of bonuses that are very often available:

No Deposit Bonuses

These are simple to understand and are simply a small amount of money given to you by the casino to play the games with without you having to deposit any of your own money. These bonuses are used to get you playing some games at their casino but are generally small amounts like $5 or so.

Loyalty Bonus

So these are bonuses given to existing customers as a thank you for remaining with the casino in question. They can come in the form of a VIP club point format where upon reaching points milestones you get prizes or sometimes you will be able to trade your points for things in the “points store”.

Deposit bonuses

These are bonuses given to new players where they are awarded some bonus funds that will be directly related to the size of the deposit they make up to a certain figure. For example it could be 100% bonus up to $1000. This means they will award you a bonus that is the size of your deposit up to a maximum of $1000.

Hopefully this clears up some of the confusion that often surrounds bonuses at online casinos.
