Atlantic City, New Jersey – A former Caesars Casino security guard robs the casino

Two weeks after getting fired from his job at Caesars Casino, Izyiah Plummer, 21, decided to rob the casino. The robbery occurred on the 14th of July, 2014 when Plummer and Aaron Evans, 26, an accomplice, entered the casino sometime after 6.00 am wearing masks. Plummer pointed a gun at a security guard, and a casino employee, while Evans removed cash boxes from the trolley. Leaving the casino with two cash boxes containing $181,200, the two suspects fled the casino in a car. Plummer was arrested and charged within a few days of the robbery. He has pleaded guilty to first-degree armed robbery, conspiracy, aggravated assault and weapons offenses, and is scheduled for sentencing at the Superior Court in Mays Landing on the 18th of November.
