Armed robbers steal $6,000 from a casino winner in Kansas City, Missouri

Chuck Stanway, a man who won $6,000 at Harrah’s North Kansas City Casino had a sudden change of luck on his way back home. Waiting for him in front of his house, were two armed men, who confronted him with handguns and stole his $6,000, wallet and credit cards. The identity of the two robbers is still unknown and how they managed to find him is still a mystery, but the victim’s neighbor has an idea. “Unfortunately, when you go to the casino, people just sit around and wait for you to leave with your winnings,” said Riley, the victim’s neighbor. Harrah’s North Kansas City Casino staff would like to remind people that they can request their winnings to be paid by check, rather than in cash, and they can also ask security to escort them to their cars when they leave the casino. The identity and whereabouts of the two robbers is currently still unknown. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
