Adelaide, Australia – SkyCity casino manager is accused of forcing a female colleague to have sex with him

John Awad, 37, who is a senior manager at Adelaide’s SkyCity casino is accused of making several unwanted advances at a junior female colleague, and forcing her to have sex with him by threatening her job security. The married father allegedly told the woman that if she “looked after him sexually”, then her job would be safe. Awad has pleaded not guilty to indecent assault and four counts of procuring sexual intercourse by threats or intimidation which allegedly took place between 2009 and 2012. According to court reports, the pair allegedly had sex, including sexual intercourse, multiple times in casino management offices, an underground stairwell, a car park and in official vehicles. In transcripts later released by the judge, the woman said; “At this stage I was complaining. I would say ‘John you are married. John you now have a daughter’. Nothing seemed to faze him,” The trial continues.
