A chartered casino coach crashes, killing 8 people

Eight passengers were killed, and 44 others were injured when a chartered coach belonging to OGA Charters, on its way to a casino in Texas rolled over on Highway 83 about 46 miles north of Laredo. The crash occurred on Saturday the 14th of May, just before 11.30 am. The coach was carrying 51 passengers at the time, and the driver was among the survivors. No other vehicles were in the area at the time. Although it is not yet known as to what might have caused the crash, it is possible that the rain might have been a contributing factor. “The driver of the bus lost control and rolled over. Everything’s real preliminary right now. Our troopers are going to look into what happened, but it’s going to take us some time.” said trooper Conrad Hein, of the Texas Department of Public Safety.
