A Blackjack player cheats Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem out of more than $15,000

Daniel A. White, 49, of Manalapan Township in New Jersey was recently arrested and charged with using a trick or fraud to win or reduce a loss, and theft by deception. During the 26th and 27th of November, White visited the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem and played Blackjack. On a number of occasions during the 26th and 27th of November, White played Blackjack, and quietly added extra chips to his initial wagers after he knew that he had won. By convincing the Blackjack dealer that he had made a larger initial wager, he was able to trick the dealer into giving him a larger payout. White allegedly repeated the scam 10 times over 2 days, and cheated the casino out of approximately $15,750. The whole scam was captured on video surveillance footage.
